“The state of being strong and active”

Meet the Staff!
We are pleased to introduce you to our nurse practitioner, Jeanie Taggart, APRN
Jeanie began her nursing career in Cincinnati at the Christ Hospital working in surgery. She later went on to travel the country as a travel nurse for 4 years seeing many different health care systems, where she discovered the broken health care model is nation wide and we are missing total body wellness as a nation.
After returning to Cincinnati she began teaching nursing at the Christ College of Nursing while she obtained her Masters Degree at the University of Cincinnati. She graduated with honors from the University of Cincinnati and began her NP career working in functional medicine and specialized in functional endocrinology.
Jeanie has a deep passion for sports performance and health optimization but also finds great joy in assisting patients in deeper more complex cases such as the following :
– Hashimotos/hypothyroidism
– autoimmune issues / mast cell activation syndrome
– gut issues
– chronic fatigue
Favorite peptide : BPC 157
We are fortunate to have Jeanie on our Advanced Vitality HRT Team! Her expertise and passion make her a valuable asset to our team!
This past weekend, we had the opportunity to host our Advanced Vitality HRT team in Cincinnati. Our staff works remotely across the US, this was many of our first in person meet ups! We bonded, educated, analyzed our strengths and weaknesses and attended an FCC game together.
Every individual plays a role and brings different strengths to create an environment where the end goal is exceptional patient outcomes.
We are more than just a hormone clinic.
Our patients are coming to us to solve gut issues, ulcerative colitis, weight loss resistance, auto immunity, resolving long covid, and the list goes on. Where Western medicine is failing, we are THRIVING.
We’re grateful to have your trust when it comes to your most valuable asset: your health!

Did you know during the menopause transition, up to 70% of women experience weight gain?
Managing weight can be tough, especially when you’re navigating the ups and downs of menopause, which can affect everything from your body composition to your sleep habits and daily life.
Exciting news! A recent study published in PubMed found a strong connection between weight loss and a combination of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) and semaglutide treatment for menopausal women. This aligns perfectly with our holistic approach to healthcare.
The study showed that women in menopause who received both HRT and Semaglutide lost more weight than those just on semaglutide alone. While the study had a modest group of participants, we’re thrilled about the potential this holds for the future.
With over a decade of experience in functional health, we know that tackling the root causes of issues leads to better, longer-lasting results. Our goal is to improve your overall quality of life, especially as you age, by optimizing health beyond what’s considered typical.
Curious about how this combo therapy could work for you? Schedule a consultation with us to learn more! We’re here to support you on your health journey.

What is NAD?
NAD is a coenzyme that is naturally produced by the body and is essential for various physiological processes, including energy production and DNA repair. It is found in all living cells and plays a critical role in many of the body’s metabolic processes. NAD is a dinucleotide, which means that it consists of two nucleotides joined together. It is made up of two molecules: nicotinamide and adenine, which are joined together by a phosphate group.
NAD is involved in a wide range of biological processes, including the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, and is essential for the proper functioning of the body’s cells and tissues. NAD usually undergoes either oxidation or reduction as it exerts its effects on the body’s metabolic processes; the oxidized variant of NAD is referred to as NAD+.
What are the benefits of NAD+ therapy?
NAD injection therapy is believed to have several potential benefits, including improving energy levels, supporting cognitive function, reducing inflammation, and supporting the body’s natural detoxification processes.
Is NAD+ safe?
NAD is considered a dietary supplement, not a drug. The FDA does not currently evaluate dietary supplements in their current regulations. However, NAD is well-tolerated, meaning that there are rarely side effects.
Does NAD+ help battle aging?
Some studies have suggested that NAD may have anti-aging effects by helping to support the production of enzymes that are involved in DNA repair and maintenance, which are essential for maintaining healthy cells and tissues. Additionally, NAD may support the production of enzymes that are involved in the body’s natural detoxification processes, which can help to reduce the effects of oxidative stress and support healthy aging.
Does NAD+ improve metabolic function?
Some studies have suggested that NAD may support healthy metabolism by helping to regulate the body’s energy production and utilization, and may also support the production of enzymes that are involved in various metabolic processes. Additionally, NAD may support the body’s natural detoxification processes, which are important for maintaining overall health and wellness.
Does NAD+ improve brain health and function?
NAD is believed to have potential benefits for brain health and function, although more research is needed to fully understand its effects. Some studies have suggested that NAD may have neuroprotective effects, meaning that it may help to protect the brain from damage and support healthy brain function. Additionally, NAD may support the production of neurotransmitters, which are chemicals that help to transmit signals between the brain’s cells, and may help to improve cognitive function and memory.

What is Selank?
Selank is a type of peptide therapy. Its potent synthetic compound has gained significant popularity in recent years for its numerous health benefits.
This peptide is a modified version of the naturally occurring tetrapeptide tuftsin, which plays an essential role in the immune system’s regulation. Selank has been shown to enhance cognitive function, reduce anxiety and stress, improve mood and sleep, and boost the immune response.
One of the primary benefits of using selank peptide is its ability to reduce anxiety and stress levels. By stimulating GABA receptors, selank may promote relaxation and calmness while reducing tension and restlessness. Additionally, it helps regulate cortisol levels in the body, which are responsible for inducing stress responses.
As a result, users can experience improved mental clarity and focus while feeling more relaxed overall. Another benefit of Selank peptide is its potential to promote better sleep quality.
Benefits of Selank
While most prescription drugs cause many unwanted side effects, studies have shown this peptide to have no negative side effects or risk of addiction. Both Tuftsin and Selank have shown the ability to reduce anxiety and increase serotonin levels in animal models.
Selank can strengthen immune function by increasing IL-6 in blood cells. IL-6 is an inflammatory protein that is believed to help fight off infections. Selank can also stimulate the release of interferons, which are anti-viral molecules.
Research
In clinical trials, the drug has been shown to provide a sustained nootropic and anxiolytic effect, which is useful for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Selank has an advantage over traditional anxiety treatments, such as benzodiazepines, as it has no sedating or negative cognitive side effects and no associated addiction or withdrawal problems. Selank has been approved in Russia for treating generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) and its use as a nootropic.
Although limited, some evidence suggests that Selank may help curb anxiety and offer many other benefits. More research is always needed to monitor its effectiveness and safety.
